Description
Kia Sedona 2000 model. Has overheating problem and auxiliary belt driving the alternator, power steering et-cetera has snapped. Car still starts first time and engine runs well . Blows water back through expansion tank. I bought a test kit to test for exhaust gases coming back through the expansion chamber but it showed no sign of that, thus a good sign that the head gasket has not gone.
I have changed all the old steel and rubber cooling pipe set-up for straight through hydraulic heat resistant rubber tubing. This is a well known susceptibility on these Kia's. The cooling pipes are a mix of steel sections and rubber sections. They simply rot and let air into the system creating cooling problems. When we were using it up until March it was a powerful and strong engine.
