Description
Wayfarer mk2 sailing dinghy plate number 8245. Moulded hull number rms 657020586. White hull, pale grey decks. In original gel-coat finish having never been painted, anti-fouling removed. On hallmark galvanised launch trolley ( part of combi trailer) in good strong condition. Includes: rudder and centreboard. Standing and most running rigging. All four side benches, stripped and varnished. New laminated tiller. Four deck boards. Mainsail and genoa by Goucher, used but usable, buttons, mainsheet track, bilge pump, new bungs and lots more. Boom and mast.
Needs grp repair to bow marks both sides; small damage to chine turn of hull port side; knock to gunwale starboard midships; support under the port seat/centreboard case, and new gunnel rubbing strip. Then a really good clean! Nothing serious. Bought as a project for myself but no time and need space. See pictures for condition and call me if you need to know more.
Not having been painted means you can clearly see condition which is what attracted me. Can be seen and inspected in south bucks five minutes from service area junction 2 on m40 motorway. A good way to get on the water in a good boat for a very reasonable cost and a bit of effort. Wayfarers are an excellent, safe, roomy family dinghy. Thanks for looking.
