£1,500    2004 Spares or Repair BMW E46 Coupe 325ci M Sport

I've spent loads in the three years I've had it, and put many new parts on it. So this would make an excellent donor car, full of high quality nearly new parts, or if you're able, sort out a the problem and put it back on the road.

Here's a list of what's been done since I've had it. (some of this is irrelevant, as it can't be taken off the car, fluids etc, but just to show how its been looked after) :

June 2020

Oil (Castrol Edge 5w30 'M') and filter service includes pollen filter (Mann and Bosch)

New Febi propshaft guibo, and correct bolts, new Febi centre bearing, new transmission mounts, rebuild and paint all calipers with new seals and Bosch brake pads. New brake fluid.

New stainless back box (sounds lovely)

June 2021

Oil (Castrol Edge 5w30 'M') and filter service includes pollen filter (Mann and Bosch)

October 2021

18 inch Style 189 wheels (off an e92 335) refurbished, powder coated and diamond coated. New Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all around, only covered approx 4000 miles since then. New centre caps. (£1100 in total) 1 front wheel is now curbed, should be about £70 to put back to perfect again.

March 2022

New Bosch discs all around and repainted calipers again. Covered approx 2000 miles since.

New osf bearing and Bosch ABS sensor

New Osram Nightbreaker headlamp bulbs

New Bilstein B8 rear shocks and top mounts

New coolant temperature sensor

New EA770 Exide Premium Battery

Complete refresh of cooling system, including radiator, top hose and the 2 lower hoses, belts, thermostat, water pump, water pump pulley, and coolant level sensor. New gear knob. M Sport steering wheel refurbished.

The owner before me had it all poly bushed, with all new Meyle arms and drop links etc and installed a Digital Tuning Solutions remapped ecu, raising bhp to 200hp and rev limiter to 7K. This would be plug and play if yours is also a 325. There's also an aluminium billet coupler for the steering. The grey Dakota leather interior, with memory seats, is in very good condition.

Body work could be better, that was my next job, but...

Rear driver's arch has bubbling and both bumpers need sorting. There's a small dent behind passenger door where I was hit by a guy recovering from a stroke and shouldn't have been driving, stone chips to the bonnet. All led's work in the tail lights.

The car won't start at all now, but does turn over. EML is on understandably.

At first I thought to get another coupe, and just take all what's good off mine for the new one, but, a) I can't find a decent one, and b) it's time to move on. So, I'm going to offer it up as a whole donor car.

I've had a quote from a scrapper for £480, but that doesn't take into consideration all what's been put into it. You could take all the bits off and still scrap it for £480...

Edit: Someone's knocked off the driver's wing mirror, so I've reduced it by £100 for that.

Car did overheat in July after a coolant leak. AA topped off with 2 litres and it's been fine since then, until now.
