Hello and thank you for checking out my 2.0L diesel automatic Galaxy. I've enjoyed using this car for the past 3 to 4 years, but unfortunately, it's now listed as spares or repair. About six months ago, it developed an issue with the reverse gear, and upon inspection at the Ford garage, I was informed that the selecting fork in the gearbox for reverse has malfunctioned. Other than this specific problem, everything else on the car is in excellent working condition. While I still use it for travel, I've had to be mindful of situations where I don't need to reverse.
It's a bit of a disappointment for me to part with this car as I've enjoyed its great driving performance, and the kids love it too. A little over three years ago, I invested in a new gearbox, costing £2500. Unfortunately, when the issue with reverse occurred, it was just outside of the warranty period, with only around 9000 miles on the new gearbox. The car still has over 7 months of MOT left.
