FOR SPARES OR REPAIRS/REQUIRES ATTENTION
No exchanges or part-exchanges, please. I've purchased a new car and don't have the time to address this one. It will not come with the private registration; the original registration is MJZ 3606.
I lent the car to someone for a week, and now it won't start anymore. My guess is a fuel pump/fuel system issue. Additionally, the engine mount is damaged (see pictures).
The bodywork displays rust in the usual areas. There are no significant dents, only a small ding on the door.
Recently, all major maintenance tasks have been completed, including timing, water pump, clutch, and flywheel. The driving experience is excellent.
Whiteline lowering springs were added less than a year ago, enhancing the handling. Bilstein shocks are also in place.
Furthermore, the front brakes, front calipers, front tires, and front wheel alignment have all been replaced recently. A new fan belt has been fitted as well.
The car has been remapped to over 240 brake horsepower, although there is no concrete proof of this, it does exhibit strong performance. The turbo and intake noises are quite pleasing.
The exhaust system is complete, although the brand is uncertain. It produces satisfying pops and bangs without being excessively loud within the cabin.
Tasks that require attention:
Engine mount (refer to picture)
Rear wheel bearing
Rear discs and pads
Windscreen washers are non-functional; a new pump was installed, and blockages may be the issue.
Turbo downpipe gasket (Engine Management Light occasionally comes on due to this, but never remains on for more than a few days).
Exhaust gasket
Thermostat replacement needed - sometimes runs slightly cold but doesn't affect performance or result in overheating.
Windscreen has a crack along the bottom, not an MOT failure and never caused an issue for me.
The MOT is valid until September; everything else seems fine based on my knowledge except for what I've noted above. The essential repairs have been undertaken.
It still achieves impressive miles per gallon despite the remap, around 400 miles per tank if driven moderately.
The lower price reflects the immediate work required. I paid £3,000 for it in January and have invested significantly since then. However, I've moved on to something else and lack the time or patience for this vehicle.
Currently taxed and insured. It will require towing or trailering unless you can address the issues on-site.
Feel free to ask any questions. I've aimed to be as truthful and transparent as possible in this advertisement. No trades or part-exchanges; I have a new car. This could be a suitable option for someone who has the time to address it or dismantle it for parts. Contact: 07359549241.
